Knowing exactly what
you're looking for and what to expect on your trip are generally
the biggest variables in a charter fishing experience. This
section is designed to give you some back ground information
on what to expect, how to know what you're looking for and
a few questions that should be asked when deciding who to
charter and when. |

Know Before You
Go |
| |
| • |
Know
What You Want: You could be on the best boat, with
the best captain catching speckled trout until the cows
come home, but if you were looking for a deep sea adventure...
it wouldn't cut the mustard. By the same token, if you're
looking for a short trip full of fishing you may not be
too thrilled with an hour and a half ride to the fishing
grounds and back. |
| • |
What
to Bring: Generally, less is more. Area captains out
fit their boats with the customer in mind. You should
always check with them about what you plan to bring but
this is a good primer on what's expected and what's not. |
| • |
Be
Aware Of The Weather: No captain can be responsible
for the inclement weather but knowing where and what to
look for with our helpful links will give you the advantage
in getting a handle on the marine forecast. |
